Sword Designs

Alright, seeing as this is a moderny futuristic Knight, i figured, why give the guy guns when he can be swinging around a powered sword at the same time as shooting insurgents lol.

i've got 2 ideas for the actual blade part.. both of which are 2 sided. Either one which is your standard western sword sorta blade, or one with a flat center like the zelda master sword..

meh. this thing will light up, and maybe the wee wings will flick out. we'll see.

Helmet rough design

A little note here, with the helmet I've designed. now bear in mind, I want to have some traditional knight characteristics in the armour, so the helm looks like a full face knights helm. dont know what the actual helm type is called.. i'll get back to you on that. though, it will only really look like this on the front and a little on the sides. its more like decoration for striking fear in the hearts of the enemies.. and all that guff xD

EVA foam cut

Alrightyyy.. finally got off my ass to do some proper work and it felt good. used a hot knife for the first time, and it was pretty good. not at all waht i imagined as the edges are still nasty and rough, but some sanding down with my rotary tool, so curving around the edges, andso on, should make it beautiful. this is just the base upper body plate so far, and needs to be molded around me and have straps attatched, then all the details added and dremel'd into place. Thank god for the hot glue gun i say! I bought the EVA jigsaw mats for £1.99 each off Ebay

, and got 5 of them to start with. any details on tool prices and links etc, just comment on the post and i'll get back to you :)

First armour work

about to start on my first armour prototype.. i'll only be working on the chest and upper back plate, along with the shoulders, and the backpack. if things go well, i'll continue to complete the rest of the armour along with a helm, sword, and a shield. this is futuristic armour, but with a more traditional twist to it, as well as a hint of fantasy.

in the process of making the rough templates. pics to come pretty darned soon.

finally got all my tools.. sortof. need a heat gun and spraypaint, but a hair dryer will do me for now XD
